Let’s be honest with ourselves, East Nashville: If there’s one thing we’ll never have enough of here, it’s things to complain about. Second to that: bars. So you’ll be glad to know that we’re getting another one of the latter here in the neighborhood: Bar Luca, at 1100B Stratton Avenue (on the corner of Stratton and Gallatin, next to Moto Moda), is shooting for a mid-October opening, co-owner Abi Hewitt tells us.
What should you expect? We’ll have a more thorough rundown in next week’s column, but the basics: It’s meant to be a friendly neighborhood hang, with a full bar, small seasonal menu (things like charcuterie and cheese boards) and a particular emphasis on a “non-pretentious, curated wine list,” covering a wide span of price points.
More detail to come on that team and their bar; meantime, follow Bar Luca on Instagram, and gird your livers.
